[ Classic Linux. ]
The special domains listed below are available in the Classic Linux environment for receiving mail.
Every subdomain and sub-subdomain in each of the following domains, as well as the domain itself, will cause mail to be delivered to your primary Linux account.
If your Classic Linux login is USER, then mail arriving for any of these addresses will be delivered to you.
In the addresses above, xxx and yyy are arbitrary subdomain names that you can make up at any time.
The spams.r.us.com works similarly but without subdomains. Mail arriving for the following address will be delivered to you.
Plus addressing is also active, so in place of USER in the address formats above, you can use USER-zzz where zzz is anything.
In our old system, boxmail.com addresses were handled in a special manner, causing mail to be rejected based on certain header combinations. In our new system, no such special handling is done, but mail is delivered normally subject only to the same spam filtering that applies to all incoming mail.
Please test this feature before deploying it widely.
Note. These domains are intended to provide you with convenience in generating email addresses and not to let you cause harm to or defraud others. These domains are most suitable for noncritical website registrations where an email address is required but you don't want to use your normal email address.
