Classic Linux
This command lets you look for any logged rejections of mail arriving for you on the local machine.
At the shell prompt on any Classic Linux machine, type
scan.logs -h
for help. If you think somebody sent you mail but you did not receive it, scan.logs
can be used to find out if it arrived on our servers and was rejected for some reason.
If you have SMTP filtering enabled,
then you might see a large number of logged rejections.
Since scan.logs
queries only the current machine, you may need to run it on each
machine on which mail might be arriving for you. Generally, the identity of the
machines that process mail can be found by looking at the Classic Linux page and
following the links therein. The identity of machines receiving incoming mail will
change during our mail system migration.
